학교 소개

ISIS는 런던, 옥스포드, 브라이튼 세 곳에 각각 지점을 운영하는 그룹학교이다.
전 센터의 직원들과 교사들은 언제나 친절하고 세심한 배려를 제공하여 편안한 학업 분위기를 만드는 것을 가장 중요하게 생각하며, 그리니치 지점은 근처의 다른 상위권 학교들보다 저렴한 학비를 제공하면서도 비용대비 만족도가 높은 곳이기도 하다.
번잡한 런던 시내를 벗어나 세계 시각의 기준인 그리니치에서의 여유로운 생활을 즐길 수 있다.

특징

그룹학교이면서도 비싸지 않은 학비 대비에 대비해 적극적인 교사들이 많아 수업 만족도가 높다.
그리니치 역에서 내려 5분 거리에 위치하고 있으며 최근에 리모델링을 완료하여 강의실, 휴게실, 컴퓨터실, 작은 도서관과 자습실 등 기본적인 학업에 필요한 부분들은 빠짐없이 갖추고 있다.
가족적인 분위기에 현대식 시설을 갖추고 있으며 주변에도 편안한 분의기의 홈스테이 가정 및 집들을 찾을 수 있다.

장단점

부담스럽지 않은 가격에 좋은 수업 분위기가 형성되어 있고 스탭들이 친절하다는 점이 가장 좋은 평가를 받고 있다.
특히 학교 학생들끼리 서로 스스럼없이 말을 걸고 친해지려고 하는 분위기가 기본적으로 깔려 있는 점이 인상적이며, 주변으로 유흥시설이 거의 없고 멀지 않은 곳에 상대적으로 저렴한 집을 구할 수 있는 지리적 위치 때문에 생활적인 만족도가 높다.
한국에는 다른 그룹학교에 비해서 널리 알려져 있지 않기 때문에 유럽계 학생들이 주를 이루고 한인비율은 전반적으로 평이한 편이다.
가격대비 수업, 소셜 프로그램, 교사진에 대한 만족도가 높으며 굳이 단점을 찾는다면 시설적인 면이었으나 이 역시 현재 새 빌딩으로의 리모델링을 완료와 함께 보완 되었다.
최근에는 현대식 시설의 기숙사를 임대 운영하여 학생들의 편의 제공을 돕고 있다.

학교위치

학교가 위치한 그리니치(Greenwich) 지역은 런던 2존과 3존 사이에 위치한 주거지역으로 그리니치 천문대로 유명한 런던 남쪽의 대표적인 부촌이다.
런던 센트럴에서 튜브 등을 이용하면 15-30분 정도면 접근이 가능하기 때문에 시내와 크게 먼 느낌이 들지 않고, 대학교와 주거단지 지역이기 때문에 학업에 집중할 수 있는 차분한 환경을 동시에 고려하는 분들에게 매우 합리적인 환경을 제공한다.
또한 1존으로 통학하는 비용, 시간을 절약하며 거주할 수 있는 학교 근방으로 방을 구할 수 있는 지역입니다.

"I felt I've improved although I stayed here just 4 weeks"
I liked topics that I did with James (C1 class book is so good). I was really impressed because I wrote down something about the article and David asked me if I want to do that stuff and the next day I could study about it. It was amazing really. Thank you very much. I got a feed-back so I thought you listen to me carefully.
I would recommend this school as i met good teachers and good friends. and I felt I’ve improved although I stayed here just 4 weeks. I enjoyed every classes very much. It was a wonderful experience.

전반적으로 가격대비 수업에 대한 평가가 좋고, 또 연중 한인비율이 안정적인 부분에서 좋은 점수를 받습니다.
장기로 연수를 하는 경우에는 일반영어(General Course) 에서 시험반(IELTS 혹은 Cambridge) 으로 이동하는 경우가 많은데, 시험반과의 가격 차이도 없기 때문에 추가비용이 거의 들지 않고 옮겨갈 수 있는 점도 선택에 고려해 볼 만 합니다.
런던의 비싼 생활비를 고려할 때 1존보다는 2/3존에서 생활과 학업을 동시에 잡을 수 있는 실속형 학교입니다.

As Principal of StudyCentres Greenwich I realise that coming to London is not just about improving your English but also about widening your personal horizons.
We are here to help you do both. It’s important for me that you have a friendly, professional and supportive environment in which you can improve your English.
But you also want to be able to experience London and all it has to offer (which is a lot!) and our social programme aims to provide something for everyone.
Our methos is that ‘learning is a two-way street’, meaning that teachers are here to help and guide you and encourage you to be proactive in your studies. Our teachers will be attentive, enthusiastic and caring in the classroom, providing you with dynamic, interesting and fun lessons. We give you real English to use in the outside world.
I have been working in this industry for 15 years and have a good understanding of what makes a great school. What I enjoy most about StudyCentres is the high level of standards that we set ourselves, and the fact that we all strive to create a real community within the school.
